MY STORY ON DIGITAL TRAINING - HE/SHE DIGITAL/WOMEN WEAVE THE WEB CAMPAIGN

All the way back in 2014 I shared a story to World pulse WOMEN WEAVE THE WEB CAMPAIGN, ShetransformsTech I as a Volunteer Social Worker/World pulse Member have shared the challenges and the solutions Women especially myself have underwent for making Tech a reality in my Community.

On SKYPE I did a training for girls aged 15 - 25 yrs whereby the World Pulae Organizer was satisfied by the results I was emaiing her for each and every girl on Digital Technology. It was a challenging expeience whereby I was going on foot a distance to browse from a Cyber Cafe.

Since we I was training in the evening, I had to go for the girl trainers from the Mother majority of the mothers are single mothers, I had to train them using the Training module that was emailed to me, After the Traning I had to take the girls back to their mothers  I was arriving home past 9.00pm on foot. It was hectic. I also had to struggle to pay the private Cybercafe owner money for browsing.

I had expected that after Training the girls at least they will benefit later on by either be provided wit Computers some will be Trainers of Trainees.

After the Training, I was only awarded a Certificate for having managed to Train all of the girls successfully on SKYPE.

Someone had promised me that Nigeria and Kenya will be provided with Computers. Nigeria benefited only.
