Holy fucking shit, here we have another sexist/transphobic rambling on Quora, this time regarding women in men’s bathrooms. Why hasn’t that site shut down yet?
Okay, the question is, according to Quora: “Why is it alright for females to use the male restrooms when men are already in there?”
First red flag right from the start: men and FeMaLeS. Anyways, let’s continue:
”According to who?
I have never believed this is OK. It always pissed me off when women would use the men's bathrooms, because it undermined our right to protect our own spaces, making hypocrites of us.”
What if I pointed out that women have less toilets in THEIR restrooms and the public restrooms you find every day are only accessible? Do you STILL think that’s hypocritical?
“I recently heard a male I know tell me how uncomfortable he and several of his male colleagues have been made with a particular female coworker deciding it was OK to use the men's facility's *because* (“ha ha .. I'm identifying as male, so you can't kick me out!!”).”
Great, just great. Sexism, AND transphobia. Can things get any worse? (Spoilers: yes it can)
“He works in a male prison and female officers are prohibited by law from conducting strip searches or overseeing urine testing of male inmates to preserve their privacy and dignity (just like male officers are prohibited from these duties in female prisons). How dare female staff treat their male coworkers with such obvious disrespect!
We are all entitled to feel we have safety, privacy and dignity in such spaces. I have very little time for those who disrespect that, regardless of their gender.”
Why the fuck does anyone have to prove they’re male or female or whatever? Urine doesn’t fucking determine one’s sex, you’re just using it as an excuse to be some kind of fucking pedophile, which is even worse! But please, do tell me how women going to men’s bathrooms in response to inequality of toilets is so-called “disrespectful”.
”I was told we would be fired for complaining about trans women useing the men’s room at Smuckers when I worked there. So.. me being me.. I asked what happens if I’m feeling feminine that day and want to use the women’s restroom? You’d be fired. This is Smuckers.. a warm cozy family business. Unbelievable! Another case of (anti-male) double standards”
Here’s the fucking difference: a trans women just simply wants to use the fucking bathroom, that’s it. You, a cis male on the other hand, just sound like you need an excuse to pervertedly prey on women. Please do tell me how it’s “anti-male double standards”, fucknut.
””Identifying” refers to a social construct. Male/female is NOT a social construct, so no one can “identify” as male or female. Not even trans people.”
What are you, fucking stupid? You acknowledge trans people existing, yet you say gender is not a “social construct”. lol what!
”It feels to me like people are conflating “identifying with" .. with “identifying as".
We can all identify very strongly with certain people, ideas, etc. But feeling a strong affinity with someone or something is not the same as being that someone or something.“
In other words “facts don’t care about your feelings, but MY feelings are facts, so fuck you!”. Do you not even hear yourself?
”It isn’t alright. It’s absolutely wrong.
A lot of woman replied to this sayings it's not an issue, but for a lot of men it is an issue or has the potential for it to be a bid issue.”
Yeah, that sounds like a YOU problem.
”On a side note, if a man or a group of men walked into a ladies room they would be labeled a perverts and probably be arrested in the US. Women for the most part when using the ladies restroom are not exposed because they are in a stall with a door.”
Are you really this fucking stupid?! I don’t know where the fuck you’re even from, but if you’re from the US, I can guarantee that restroom stalls are much different here compared to the rest of the world! For one thing, you got this giant fucking gap in the very bottom of each fucking stall, so it’s easy for men to peep under and pervertedly watch women piss in the toilet! Do you not see how uncomfortable that is? Women are STILL exposed because our stalls have a fucking peephole! If you’re upset over being called a pervert just because you want to watch women undress in the bathroom, then you are, by definition, a pervert, and deserve to be called one!
”however, Men on the other hand have to expose themselves to pee at a urinal. Men have bathroom etiquette, in a men's room it is routine to try to leave space between urinals if we can, every other unless its crowded. A lot of men have issues peeing if someone is too close, let alone a woman over their shoulder.”
Spoiler alert: women DON’T use urinals. Our anatomy is not made for MEN’S toilets! You seriously think a woman is going to go to the men’s room just so they can look at a man’s dick over a urinal?! Hell no! If I were to go into the men’s room, that would be the LAST THING I want to see! Do you seriously believe women want to see your fucking dick sticking out all the time?! I mean, it’s already bad enough that we have to watch men piss in PUBLIC! It’s funny how you complain about being “exposed” yet you men are totally fine with exposing YOURSELVES in PUBLIC!
”HOWEVER, THIS IS A REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE. I use to work in a large office building with restrooms on each floor and a gym and locker rooms on the ground level. The building received a ton of complaints from men because the female housekeeping staff would routinely just walk into the men's bathrooms and locker rooms, as they were being used, to clean them. Thid was in the US, not Europe. The female staff would actually try to mop around your feet as we were peeing at a urinal, and would often walk into the open showers to clean the fixtures (shower handles) and mop while men were in there showering. They would also routinely walk into the men's rest rooms on each floor to clean, as men were at the urinals with no nock or notice. There were a lot of complaints, and it was ridiculous, but the building did noting about hit, they would just shrug.”
Oh sure, like these female staff members go into men’s rooms just so they want to see you naked! If there were as much complaints from men as you like to claim, then I’d say you’re a bunch of fucking idiots! I don’t recall a single moment where a staff member of the opposite sex went into the bathroom to clean while I was still in there. How is it wrong for the female staff to clean men’s bathrooms when it’s their FUCKING JOB?! They’re supposed to clean the restrooms because they need to be clean and accessible!
You sound like the kind of guy who would bitch about dirty facilities, and then bitch again for having a staff member of the opposite sex cleaning the men’s room because it “invades his privacy”!
Or, you either made all of this shit up just to make an excuse to make sexist and transphobic remarks. I think I know what really happened. This guy went into the men’s room all while ignoring the sign saying “closed for cleaning” and the wet floor sign right next to it, thinking he’s entitled to do whatever he wants. But once he notices a female staff meme her in there, he threw a fit, even though it was his own fault for ignoring the signs! And yet somehow the female staff member is in the wrong for… doing her fucking job?!
”Then two things happened. A new female cleaning staff member filed a complaint (called the police) because she went into he men's locker room and said as she walked in a man was touching himself and was fully naked. The police actually came, it turns out the man had just come out of the shower and was drying himself off with a towel, at his locker when she walked in. He said he rose his head in shock that he was naked in the mens room when he noticed her and turned around and quickly moved the towel to cover himself up. A full investigation took place and he was under the microscope, three other men in the restroom at the time who were at their lockers close by corroborated his story. The issue was only closed once she finally admitted that he did have a towel in his hands and he did appear to be wet after coming out of the shower.”
Another random fucking scenario this guy made up just to demonize women staff members.
“However, even though she was in a men's locker room, she was believed and he was automatically a villein, no one asks shy she was in there or was she a pervert, but he was automatically assumed to be a pervert? Then several months later in the same building, a female member of the cleaning staff was cleaning a stall in a men's room, no signage, no markings that the restrooms was bing cleaned.”
Or, there WAS a sign, except that you IGNORED it! And learn how to spell villain right, dipshit! Please do not get started on the “waaah waaah women in my spaces, waaah waaah” drivel!
”Two men walked in, and obviously had no idea she was in the stall, and each began to pee at a urinal. She then walked out and got startled that they were in there and ran of of the bathroom yelling that men were in there as she was in there. She ran to another female in the the building and management was called. This again cause a huge scene, the building wanted to final a complaint with the company where the two men worked for the company to take action against them. When this began to happen the two men accused of wrongdoing immediate began snapping pictures showing that there were no signs that the restroom was closed and they had no idea she was in there. As they were defending themselves, in the hallway of the building, people began asking what was going on. As they described the situation, other men in the building began pointing out that the woman who was so shaken and yelled running out men's room, was one of female staff members that men had complained to the building management about routinely. She would routinely just walked into the men's rooms to clean. Her response which was captured on audio was that when she goes into the mens room unannounced she immediately knows if men are inside, this time they scared her because she was in their first and didn't know they came in. This sounds so far fetched its absurdly ridiculous, but is true.”
Oh sure, like it’s absolutely true that she totally KNEW the two men were in there and just walked in there on purpose just to be a pervert! Your anti-female scenarios are so oddly specific that it’s hardly believable! The more shit you talk, the less believable you sound! Or maybe the two men in question are actually you and some other pedo friend you have just striving to make working women’s lives miserable.
”These two incidents caused an uproar, building management then began closing restrooms throughout the building at certain times each day so they could get cleaned. The funny thing is that they did employ male cleaners, as well, but the men would split the work with the females, the males staff would move the carts and supplied from floor to floor bathroom to bathroom, but the females would go in and do the cleaning. My entire point is even if or when a woman goes into a men's room, all she has to do is say a guy exposed himself to her or that he was being inappropriate as he is shaking himself at the urinal and he is automatically guilty, even though he is in the men's room. Today men can't win, even if they are in a male only space.”
Oh poor old you, I don’t know how you stand it! You seriously think all a woman has to do is cry rape and be instantly believed? Bullshit! Women aren’t even believed when they discuss rape and even if they are believed, they are victim blamed! It’s funny how you claim women are perverts yet all your little sob stories just goes to show that you have no sense of accountability!
”Back in the day, when there would be a long long line for the ladies room at the CLUB and I really had to go really really badly & couldn't hold it for another second I'd just go in the men's room and it was never a big deal. These days it's a lot different. Oh , and just one thing, the men's room was ALWAYS way cleaner than the woman's. Today, with all the weirdos I wouldn't even consider it, I'd just leave and go somewhere else. But if the tables were turned & a man were in the ladies room I think all hell would break loose. He'd come out with one less ball. Be it eye ball or other wise”
What kind of “weirdos” are you even talking about? I don’t know a single cis man getting the shit beaten out of him by a bunch of women in the ladies’ room. Tv isnt reality, you know.
”It isn’t really OK. I understand why people do it, and have done it myself once or twice. A woman might use the men’s room if the ladies has a very long line, or is out of order. It’s not polite, but sometimes it’s a choice between using the men’s room or peeing my pants. If I do need to use the men’s, I’d first announce myself and ask if anyone inside has any objections. If not, I look straight ahead and go directly to the stall. Most men don’t care if someone sees them peeing at a urinal but I still try to look away. It’s been years since I used a men’s room, but sometimes you just gotta go. And if a man needed to use the ladies room for a similar reason, I’d have no objection. We have stalls for a reason.”
How is it impolite when a woman goes into the men’s room but not when a man goes into the women’s room? Please explain this to me.
”Many people would say it’s not alright, but I see it differently
There isn’t a statistic of 4 out of 5 men being sexually assaulted by women
I have not heard of a man who is afraid of a vagina or that the person with the vagina will attack them
Yes there is the whole “I don’t expect women to be there so why are women there?” but in the end if what you are there to do is go to the loo it’s unlikely the woman in the area will be interested in what you are doing.
Even if she wanders up tot he urinal, positions herself and pisses next to you, why is that that much different to a guy doing so?
I have been in clubs in major cities where it would be nothing unusual for this to happen so my view may be skewed a bit, but in the end I don’t see people using toilet facilities as a sex issue.
I DO see men pushing into female spaces as such”
This one I definitely agree with. Except for one thing: women don’t use urinals. It’s not impossible, but we simply just prefer not to as it’s not worth the hassle.
I know there are more to this but I’m going to stop there, as it’s already long enough as it is. Anyways, that’s it for now.
