I wasnโ€™t born into privilege

ย I didnโ€™t have the luxury of choices that many take for granted. Life, from the start, was a battle, a battle against poverty, against loss, against a system that wasnโ€™t built for people like me.

I lost my parents, not to fate, but to circumstances that could have been different. A healthcare system that failed them. A society where survival is a privilege, not a right. When you grow up seeing dreams crushed by things outside your control, you either break under the weight or find a way to rise. I chose to rise.

But rising isnโ€™t easy. Education became my weapon, my only ticket to something better. I pushed through, studied hard, and grabbed every opportunity I could find. Even when the future was unclear, even when the road ahead looked impossible, I refused to stop.

I found ways to create my own path. I worked with NGOs, organizing projects that changed lives, free coding classes for kids, ICT evangelism for teenagers, and empowerment programs for young girls. I didnโ€™t just want to survive; I wanted to make sure others had a fighting chance too.

Then, I stepped into the world of remote work. I became an Administrative Virtual Assistant, not just to earn, but to learn. I worked with founders, managing their businesses, handling CRM systems, and leading projects that mattered. I built skills, grew my network, and started shaping the future I once thought was out of reach.

But letโ€™s be honest, working remotely from an underdeveloped country isnโ€™t easy. Power outages, poor internet, currency fluctuations, systems that make even the simplest tasks a struggle, I have faced them all. There have been days when I felt stuck, when it seemed like no matter how much effort I put in, the world was working against me. But despite it all, I show up.

I do the work.

And I am deeply grateful i never stayed down as their are still good people out there, with good heart, ready to trust me with their tasks, their businesses, and their time no matter the evil we hear everyday.

Every opportunity Iโ€™ve been given is something I donโ€™t take for granted.

But the journey doesnโ€™t stop here. I want more. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m pursuing an MBA not just to add a degree to my name, but to understand business, strategy, and leadership on a deeper level.

Iโ€™ve worked with businesses, Iโ€™ve helped them grow, and now, I want to scale that knowledge. I want to build something of my own. I want to create opportunities, not just for myself, but for young people like me who never had the head start.

I am still on this journey. Learning, re-learning. Growing, evolving. There will be setbacks, but one thing is certain:

I will never stay down.

And I will rise.

To every young girl on World Pulse, keep pushing

To every young woman in her thirties, keep pushing

To older women, age is not a barrier, keep pushing, never stay down.
