✨ Let’s Talk Mental Health Webinar – High School Edition 1 ✨
Today was such a fulfilling day! 💚 Together with my fellow CWE-TECH facilitators, Beatrice and Ivy, we had the privilege of holding a successful mental health talk with about 20 students (some in groups of 2–4 using one device, and some off camera) from different schools. This was our very first session under the banner “Let’s Talk Mental Health – High School Edition 1”, and it was nothing short of amazing!

As newly certified facilitators through Tafara Wellness, we were excited to create a safe space where young people could freely share and learn.
We began by unpacking why mental health is just as important as physical health – because it affects us all, whether young or older. The students openly shared some challenges they face, such as:
Negative peer pressure
Academic/exam stress
Family struggles
From there, we explored the signs that someone may need support, such as losing interest in things they once loved, persistent sadness, feeling empty or hopeless, or even having thoughts of self-harm.

Most importantly, we talked about how to care for our minds and hearts:
🌱 Talking to someone we trust
🌱 Staying engaged in hobbies and activities we love
🌱 Surrounding ourselves with positive content and communities
🌱 Joining safe spaces like this one to keep learning and sharing

The students were so engaged and happy—they even asked for more sessions! 🙌 And guess what? This was just the beginning. With Edition 1 already a success, we’re looking forward to Edition 2, Edition 3, and beyond. Because mental health is a conversation we must keep alive.
I’m so grateful for the chance to co-facilitate and even more encouraged to see how much this matters to our young people. 💫
To anyone reading this: you are not alone. You matter. Keep seeking help, keep speaking up, and keep choosing wellness. Together, we will be okay. 💛
