Why should we protect the rights of the girl child?
Because when a girl is silenced, the world loses a voice.
When she is denied education, the world loses potential.
When her body is not safe, humanity itself is wounded.
Protecting the girl child is not charity, it is justice.
It is recognizing that a girl’s dreams are not less valuable than a boy’s.
That her body is not public property.
That her mind deserves to be nurtured, and her future deserves to be protected.
Every educated, empowered girl is a ripple of change, in her family, her community, and her nation.
So the question is not why we should protect her, but why we haven’t done enough yet.
It’s time to rise, not out of sympathy, but out of responsibility.
Because protecting the girl child is protecting the future of us.
