✨ When Plans Change, Purpose Remains ✨

Recently, I was honored to be selected as a panelist at the LEND Foundation Conference in Albania. I was looking forward to the opportunity—not only to share my voice but also to build connections with NGOs from around the world, and to bring more visibility to the work we do at the Media Literacy Association in Lebanon.

But on the very day of my flight, the tragic escalation between Iran and Israel broke out, and air travel was suddenly disrupted. I felt nervous, frustrated, and deeply hurt—after months of anticipation, the chance to physically be there was slipping away.

And as if fate wanted to remind me of life’s unpredictability, I received another call: the nurse who was supposed to stay with my mother for three days had to cancel last minute due to an emergency. Suddenly, I found myself at home, caring for my mother—torn between duty, disappointment, and a sense of loss.

Yet, in that moment of chaos, something beautiful happened. 🌿

I still delivered my presentation. I still connected remotely. My voice was still heard. The political situation didn’t silence me, and my responsibilities at home didn’t erase my purpose.

What I learned is this: God knows what is truly beneficial for us.

We may think we know the best path, but sometimes a closed door is simply a redirection toward a greater alignment. Perhaps I was meant to be by my mother’s side while also fulfilling my professional role. Perhaps the lesson was that my voice can travel even when I cannot.

🌍 Our plans may falter, but our purpose remains.
