20 YEARS OF WORLD PULSE

I realized i was only 10 when the world pulse was founded and as a grown adult i'm proud to celebrate the historical 2Oth anniversary with them .the website has given me a place i can share my innermost stories without fear of being victimized . to begin with i was introduced to this website by a woman friend who died of cervical cancer last year for her family privacy won't mention her here ,we had attended a yali network event in Washington DC and people were sharing how they get motivated and she stood up and talked about 'world pulse' had my diary so i wrote the name down and promised myself that i will google it later get to know more about this .., i continued having a monologue i told myself maybe this is my home too . that evening after i was done eating dinner and was just chilling typed the name world pulse read all about it , who can join , what are the rules , what kind of stories are allowed , what are the picture requirements, the budges awarded to your story. once i was familiar with the rules . it was time to register which i did. once i was a registered member it was during climate summit month and the wold puls requested its embers to share their climate innovative ideas or climate stories to be featured in their website and the give out honorarium if your story emerges to be the best. thought to myself because i had a good personal and first hand experience story let me share, and yes my story was honored and it also got over a thousand shares i was proud of myself that didn't end there two of my stories have gotten a badges displayed on my profile .since then i have recommended world pulse it to my friends who are in different social media platform and i can assure you it was well reciprocated. since joining this website i have created new contacts from people all over the world i have read life time experiences fro stories shared by them . their stories have motivated me to be a strong woman all the time , to be the change the future need , to be the voice to the voiceless,to be a mentor to young women from all walk of life ,.as the digital world is taking over our lives i really enjoys digital forums from pulse but sometimes i feel left out when i'm out on workshop and i cant access stable internet now i'm forced not to attend their monthly digital events i have missed couple of them because of the different time zone .my wish sometimes is to record the whole digital events so that those who registered and missed the whole programme can always go back and listen to what was shared .i bet not everyone has a stable internet and not everyone is free during live digital event .world pulse is a game changer and the best platform for women voice , was going through some members stories who have been on the website for decade's they have roots in world pulse , some have been recognized world wide for their amazing charitable work to their community and with that five years from now i too will be in the world map and i will be an alumni of world pulse thats my vision 2030. world pulse has help me build my confidence something i never knew i would have .trough sharing stories from different individual who are women like me gave me strength to never give up in life no matter what, always ask for help when need be and if you can help those indeed use all the available tools to do what is needed to bring change in the lives of those who need it without feeding your ego, without waiting for praise of being tipped by little tokens , or even political gain . everything have been politicized so always careful with the act of kindness i'm putting out there because people have different view and not everyone will like you or like what you doing especially if they feel that you trying to outshine them . n'why as we celebrate the 20th century this year i want to take this opportunity to thank all the founders of this amazing website that suits women of all ages, thank you for changing lives , thank you for donating your services for people who need it all the time , thank you for giving me back my voice to write it and let people give me feedback , or collaboration thank you for letting me meet new people i never knew i would meet , thank you for opening my doors for success after mentioning my name in one of the climate essay writing that saw my story getting ahonerium that individuals that are die hard environmentalist and they really care about the future of our planet and how climate change is really affecting our day to day lives. and as i continue to grow with you guys as a family of world pulse i look forward to learning more from every member , and also look forward to a million members through my recommonation every time i attend an event that involve women and girls i also look forward to attending your many more digital events to have a one on one interactions! lastly i look forward to engaging with every member through story sharing through digital team building so we can listen to each other say something nice about world pulse website and how it changed millions of lives all over the world
