A 2013 Voices of Our Future Correspondent

I got the news this week and was excited. Speechless. That I was given this opportunity to share my journey and vision of sacred birthing and maternal wellness with the world. A big expansive world of over 190 countries and an entire website of sisters across cultures. I'm not completely sure how to feel. I feel like I've been handed such a huge opportunity and the only thing I can say is, "Thank You Universe."

Thank you Universe and World Pulse for the incredible amount of healing that you have inspired. It is in being connected to so many eyes and ears here that I realized my words had to be meticulously formed and written so that it empowered whomever was reading them. Though it has been important for me to write out all my trauma and pain, writing for this website and for my own transformed dwelling in pain to transcending it.

This is another piece of good news in May after I received my acceptance letter to Maternidad La Luz, a birth clinic and midwifery school in El Paso, Texas. All my biggest dreams have arrived at my doorstep: the opportunity to become a licensed midwife and to speak to the world about transforming our communities through caring for the health of our women are here. I am in the fundraising phase of my journey for school; I am in the reflection and meditation phase for World Pulse. I am dreaming of what I want to say, knowing my hands will be guided to give my gifts and receive the blessings. Thank you for your support. You have no idea how much it changes my life to be heard.
