A FANTASTIC Training Tuesday!

What a fantastic Training Tuesday in October!

Many of you know about the 16 Days of Activism, and many among us are new to the powerful fortnight of campaigning world over to end gender-based and sexual violence. On October 29, 2024, we had a masterclass on the 16 Days of Activism and how women around the world have mobilized to address the issue at their country/city/community levels, and how these movements have all come together to create a global tapestry for changemaking.

We also heard from the phenomenal Aparna Nagesh and Tamarack Verrall on their own experiences as campaigners.

Aparna spoke about her work as an artist, where her productions using dance, movement, and histories of women's experiences of violence have spoken to many people world over through her social media showcases.

Tam talked about how building community is at the heart of her advocacy, where she brings women together for virtual immersions along with the incomparable Maria Mbanga, each year for the 16 Days of Activism.

The session was powerfully stewarded by these three amazing women who demonstrated phenomenal leadership by example, sharing practices, actions, and campaigns they have contributed to, created and implemented, and shaped and participated in, over the years.
