A Girl, A Computer/Computer Program

Girls in Tech Liberia, an NGO founded on February 5th, 2019, but actively commenced operations in 2022, is committed to closing the gender gap in technology and promoting STEM careers for women. Our mission is to create opportunities for women and girls in Liberia's tech industry, fostering gender equality and empowering women and girls. We aspire to impact the lives of 10,000 girls and women by 2030.

Since our official launch in October 2022, Girls in Tech has already touched the lives of 300 women and girls in Liberia's tech industry. In 2024, from January to December, we aim to achieve our yearly target of educating and empowering more women and girls in Monrovia.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 5, our mission is to promote gender equality and empower women through advocacy and opportunities. Our vision is to empower women and girls across Liberia with free tech skills, making them self-reliant. We value teamwork, innovation, efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and trustworthiness.

Starting in January 2024, we seek funding for our "A Girl, A Computer/Computer Program," targeting 1,500 women and girls in the Monrovia region. These funds will create a conducive learning environment, purchase additional computers, pay staff and teachers, and raise awareness of our mission and vision.

Our key objective is to sponsor 1,500 girls in 2024 through the "A Girl Computer Program Sponsorship," providing opportunities for those less fortunate to pursue further studies and venture into technology.

To reach our goal of raising $40,000 USD to fund computers, teacher salaries, and educational expenses, we invite your organization to become our official corporate sponsor for this program. A contribution of just $25 per girl or woman in tech sponsorship can make a significant impact.

Your business can provide donations or purchase computers, helping bridge our financial gap. In return, we will acknowledge your company as an official sponsor of the program. Alternatively, your team can make a donation or sponsor a girl's participation in the program.
