Dear World Pulse Community,
It is with a very heavy heart that I write this post to share a personal update with all of you. Unfortunately, I will have to step down from my role at World Pulse as the Community Engagement Coordinator, effective from June 26th onwards. It is so difficult to say goodbye and this was definitely not an easy decision to take, but I have taken up a full-time job at an organisation that is helpful to scale up my career and I am no longer able to continue my work with World Pulse. This was the first job that I had after finishing my education, and it never really felt like a job because I was surrounded by such warm, caring and passionate people who made me feel like I was part of a sisterhood and community much bigger than our team. I am always grateful to Kirthi, Moutushi, Lourdes, Jensine, Corine, and Dawn for this opportunity and for all of their support, guidance and friendship over the last 1.5 years.
Being on World Pulse and getting to witness this vibrant community thrive and support each other has been one of the most fulfilling experiences I have been blessed to be a part of. I truly believe that World Pulse is the safest pocket of the internet and it has been such a joy and pleasure to witness the amazing change all of you have created for yourselves and for your communities. Getting to know the community, both individually and as a collective, has been the highlight of my time at World Pulse and there is not a single day where I have not been amazed by the genuineness, warmth, love, and encouragement that each of you bring to this world. I will miss seeing you all every month at our live events, but I know this is not a goodbye.
I may not be a staff member at World Pulse anymore, but I will always be a champion and cheerleader of the community and I am very excited to see what the next chapter holds for us all under Lourdes' leadership. Each and every single one of you is amazing in your own right and I wish you all the very best for everything you set out to do. I hope our paths cross again someday, somewhere and sometime in the future. Until then, let's keep in touch and I look forward to reading your stories on World Pulse!
In community and with love,
Vaishnavi
