A Small Collaboration with the Hope of Greater Impact ⭐

A few weeks ago, I logged on to World Pulse to do what I often do—encourage other sisters, read their stories, and celebrate the incredible work they are doing in their communities.

As an Encourager, story teller, this has become part of my routine. Every time I read a story, I'm reminded that women across the world are quietly solving problems, supporting families, advocating for girls, protecting children, and creating change in ways that often go unnoticed.

Then a simple thought came to mind.

What if I connected with some of these amazing women on LinkedIn too?

I wanted to continue supporting them beyond World Pulse, celebrate their work there as well, and stay connected to the journeys they were sharing with us.

As I searched for some of their names, I noticed something.

Some weren't on LinkedIn at all.

Others had profiles, but they didn't reflect the depth of the work they were doing.

It made me pause.

If I had not first met these women through World Pulse, I probably would never have known the incredible impact they were making in their communities.

That thought stayed with me for days.

I believe that visibility matters.

Doing meaningful work is important.

But sometimes, the right opportunities, partnerships, volunteers, and supporters come because people are able to discover your work.

That simple observation gave birth to Visible for Impact.

Not because I had all the answers.

Not because I considered myself an expert.

But because I believed we could learn together.

So I invited a few World Pulse sisters to join me for a small pilot cohort where we could explore how to strengthen our LinkedIn presence, tell our stories with more confidence, and support one another as we grow.

To my surprise, women from different countries said yes.

Some joined immediately.

Others reached out to say they were interested but were managing work, family responsibilities, travel, or different time zones.

That reminded me that every woman carries responsibilities the rest of us may never fully see.

Yesterday, we held our second live session.

It wasn't about perfection.

It wasn't about having the perfect LinkedIn profile.

It was simply a group of women choosing to make time for one another despite busy schedules, different cultures, and different causes they each serve.

We shared.

We listened.

We asked questions.

We encouraged one another.

For me, that was enough. that is collaboration

Because collaboration doesn't always begin with large grants or formal partnerships.

Sometimes it begins with one woman saying,

"Let's learn together."

This pilot has reminded me that women don't have to compete to create impact.

We can open doors for one another.

We can celebrate each other's work.

We can connect beyond one platform.

And we can build relationships that continue long after a meeting ends.

I don't know exactly what Visible for Impact will become in the future because am ready to continue this after this first month for as many that are ready.

What I do know is that this small beginning has already reminded me of something beautiful.

When women choose collaboration over competition, we don't just amplify our own voices.

We create space for many more voices to be heard.
