Abruptly postponed, get angry but take it.

Back in 2019 a fresh campus student, I joined an upcoming production company. I was younger and all I wanted was my dream out there, winning at all costs.

I had this idea because it wasn't a perfect script, but worth someone's time in the event they see beyond my mistakes and get what exactly I was looking to achieve in that particular script.

The upcoming production company felt like a hit jackpot. I needed a signatory for the contract, and my cousin is always my go-to person.

I delayed because from my school to the meeting point the traffic was always mad. So my cousin got to town before my arrival.

He was the curious naive risk taker, and while waiting for me he went on to take part in street gambling, all was well but for a short while.

We lost all the money, my upkeep money and salon money, plus the stupid us then I asked a friend to send me 5k so we would be given a total of 18k since he gambled with 9k.😂

We went to the meeting but none of us was attentive. All we thought was how to get money for his transportation back home, mine back to the hostel and how to survive till I can get another money.

We literally sat on the street laughing at ourselves. I remember borrowing my mom 1k and blocking her for days till I got the money to refund her.

Years later they still don't know how we lost money in a gamble. I would sit by myself and ask why I didn't accept the rescheduling of our meeting. Lessons learnt the hard way.

Worse enough the movie never got to completion with the Corona pandemic striking in 2020, so after all the loss wasn't worth it. Just a lesson to handle the rest of my life with.
