Accompanying Youth in Developing what I call ¨the self

In a community where our youth is the first generation to have access to high school in their own community, but where their have learned important lessons about life form their local parents and grandparents - the rooted family - I believe we have the responsibility of teaching them to develop the self, not only to harness the opportunities that are opening to them. Some of them have had irresponsible birth fathers and they all need to understand that they do nit have to be like them, but develop their own values by learning the lessons.
