Action Now-Empowerment Tomorrow

Getting a success is hard if we don't strive enough to struggle with all those obstacles, thus I have already been in the middle way where I am now. My personal vision is to make a change in my life, family, community, country and the world so I can see women everywhere can feel safe speaking their minds and standing up for their safety and happiness. Before we succeed a big thing, we must get a smallest one first so now I have already succeeded to make a deference in my family and also motivated them sending their daughters to school and now we all give value to each other even man or woman, girl or boy.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child but when I became a lady, I put childish thing away. Thus I still keep my dream to become a successful person in the future so I can make myself more powerful and be able to contribute my community either my nation. All times I see the girl’s hardship which gender is unequal in my family and community, I always feel upset and said to myself that “what should I do and empower myself to help them”? Since than the only Action much so it may bring my life to get self-awareness, I must try to study and work hard to empower myself first then I will be able to help the others.

I want to see my community where women can give their voices out and stand up to fight with the violence in their family. Most girls and women in my community are still facing with gender inequality such as husbands harm their wives, some girls and women are raped from the gang people and some families don’t let their daughters go to school because they think it is useless to let their daughters go to study and another thing is just because they are girls so cannot go to study as the schools are so far from their houses.

Until I have involved with some NGOs volunteer work, I have a great honor to make a little bit change in my village and after I had already educated them about Life is Precious which I posted ready in my VOF Week 3, they have seem started to change and sent their daughters go to school, moreover, they reduce using violence in their family either no raping girls and women anymore. It is a good result and a positive change in my life that I have already succeeded to motivate them to stop thinking that gender is unequal (stop gender based violence); even it is not all but at least they minimize of thinking it.

I feel so great to see them give value to each other even girl or boy, women or man, rich or poor and it is empowering me much after I have acted in many ways to help those girls and women. I have struggled with many obstacles to make a change in my life, my family, my community and one day I will be able to make a change in my country and the world. Positive thinking and hope may brings me to get success in the future to give my voice heard and help the women through the world.

I want to be Voice of Our Future Correspondent because it can help me achieve my goal to make a change in my life, my family, my community, my county and the world. If I am selected as a VOF correspondent, I will be honored by my university, my NGO, and everywhere in my country will give me value and I’m sure I will have a great chance to contribute the poor people and stop gender inequality in my community either my country. Being a correspondence will not only bring me an honor but it gives me the power of voice, the action of heart and mind, the way I go and it can make me more confident and self awareness and becoming the VOF Correspondent I’m just doing action now but I will be empowered tomorrow.
