Monica asked what is ethical behavior for journalists when it comes to helping people who she writes about. I have been asked for help from people and have given it when I am able. But I never considered that it may be unethical - I just figured it is the human, caring thing to do. Since I freelance I have not had to work by the rules of a publication or boss. I wonder if anyone else could benefit from a list of what is ethical and unethical behavior by journalists. As humans we want to do good, but as writers we don't want to cross lines. Does anyone have an answer? Could something like that be posted here? Noreen
