Amidst a sense of anticipation and excitement, a special Zoom meeting was held bringing together the owners of distinguished community initiatives: Abiodun, Honorine, Katrina, Mamisoa, Nadra, and Nombini, along with the Funding and Partnerships Committee. This meeting was part of the Impact Lab, organized by World Plus to support ideas and projects that bring real change to communities.
Participants began logging in early; some joined half an hour early, while others were overwhelmed by the excitement and rushed to join. These six participants were then brought together to participate in this virtual lab.
The meeting featured a detailed presentation of the distinguished initiatives, followed by an open dialogue with the Funding Committee and community members. Questions were raised and suggestions were made, focusing on ways to enhance impact and ensure the sustainability of initiatives through innovative support mechanisms. Part of the session was also devoted to explaining ways to access funding sources, enabling initiatives to move forward with their activities and maximize their impact.
The virtual meeting was attended by an unprecedented number of members of the World Plus community, whose diverse specialties and expertise added a rich dimension to the discussions, reflecting a spirit of solidarity and integration. Participants emphasized that such meetings provide an inspiring platform for strengthening partnerships, exchanging experiences, and generating new ideas that contribute to changing the lives of broad and marginalized segments of society.
The Impact Lab is one of the windows through which World Plus seeks to awaken the energies of local communities and motivate them to play their role in the renaissance. This is achieved by investing in the power of storytelling and individual voices, transforming individual initiatives into projects with a lasting collective impact.
The committee emphasized that support for initiatives will not be limited to funding alone, but will include follow-up, guidance, and the provision of a network of relationships that ensure these ideas grow and spread, ensuring their impact is multiplied and sustainable.
Thus, the virtual meeting laid a new foundation for a promising partnership between the owners of innovative initiatives and the members of the funding committee, opening broader horizons for those who dream of change and are capable of making it happen.
