After the tears.... Wangari
Trees are celebrating - Wangari
The rivers singing - Wangari
Women rising - Wangari
Girls are winning - Wangari
The world is dancing- Wangari

It is breathing - Wangari
You cured our lungs - Wangari
You cleaned our water- Wangari
You still have a dream - Wangari
It blooms on us green- Wangari
And as for poverty - Wangari
You run it out of town- Wangari
Hair torn by police on a city pavement- Wangari
Poverty lacks freedom - Wangari
but out of our villages comes- Wangari
On barefeet - Wangari
And with trees- Wangari
With ABC and 123 - Wangari!

You who do not see a forest- Wangari
And a green belt of peace- Wangari
See the seeds of Wangari:
in her eyes, color and smile- Wangari
Take and plant- her words
Dream of hope and justice- Wangari!

Dictators tremble - Wangari
Kenya victorious - Wangari
Song holds her together- Wangari
Shall we not unite - for Wangari?
The earth so precious - Wangari
Wangari smiling Wangari.

I dress myself with meaning- Wangari
In your name and faith- Wangari
Of the leopard- Wangari
Bold like courage – Wangari
Focused and pouncing- Wangari
Bold mother of the land- Wangari
Daring keeper- Wangari
Of land and freedom- Wangari
Go well- Wangari
Go well Wangari, Wangari!
Rest in Peace- Wangari
