Agwammawomen celebrates WORLD HEALTH DAY

Every 7th of April, the entire world celebrates WORLD HEALTH DAY.

Good Health Comprises of different aspects of our body needs, maintenance to enable us enjoy life, live long before we die.

Agwammawomen is concerned about Menstrual Healthcare because, it's a very important aspect of our girls/women health.

In our strive to provide sanitarytowels to our high schoolgirls, single mothers in Malawi, when we don't have the clinically produced pads, we are in the process of setting a Reusable sanitary pad factory in Malawi.

In the picture here shows the young lady incharge of our Reusable production manually sewing a reusable pad.

Though reusable pads can be sewn manually but they are produced faster, easier and more cleaner when sewn with machines.

So we are very much looking forward to buying sewing machines to enable us train more girls in our workshop thereby producing more pads.

Bearing in mind that reusable pads are not so hygienically produced like sanitary towels, we have to educate those we will be distributing these to, how to sanitize and protect them from germs.

Reusable pads comes handy because most times our girls/women cannot afford to buy sanitary towels so instead of using dirty old clothes in place of pads, they can use reusable ones. Once they are maintained hygienically and kept clean, they can serve well.

As the world marked World Health day 2024, Agwammawomen reminds our girls/women not to relent in maintaining high menstrual hygiene to avoid being infected with diseases that could disrupt their reproductive health. 💕
