In a fight with career frustrations, people’s expectations society's ridicule, and questioning of self-worth, what to expect in the future, and how long it would take for things to fall in place, general life’s cruelty a safe digital platform was all most us needed to find our lost self and fight longer.
Accessible platforms that relate real-life happenings and offer a safe arena to pour one’s heart and get mental help without abuse and getting exposed are minimal as most are all about what they will gain with people’s stories not caring about the hurt it can come with and the long run impact in their life. One’s pain becomes one's gain. Some are discriminative enough in that they only accommodate people from certain statuses or capabilities. Lifting those at the top only and leaving the extremely needy ones at the mercy of the world.
In celebration of International Women's Day, I celebrate the iconic founders of World Pulse and enablers for:-
Creating a safe platform for all, victims, changemakers, donors, and survivors among others regardless of what they were and are offering converged at World Pulse and enabled its impact and vision. Victims and survivors found people who relate with them and got healed/recovered, while changemakers and donors made it possible to touch the lives of fellow women and humanity at large in the quest to create a safe world for everyone.
Breeding leaders and changemakers:-through the training offered at World Pulse, the trainees have been able to render help in their community especially the marginalized areas that have been neglected, in the education sector, health, and food security. Several women have been trained that they can comfortably utilize what they have to get what they don’t have, such as farming to reduce the gap in lack of enough and safe food.
Unleashing people’s potential support encourages one to share more, and learn, and in the end, they grow what is hidden in them, they get the wings to fly off to their success. Most women have gained the courage to challenge policies that discriminate against humanity’s well-being and foster change by mobilizing people through education and creating awareness.
Also through the encouragers parties, one gets to meet new people that end up being influential to them. The sharing of ideas reading out quotes and getting featured goes a long in changing the lives of most of us. It makes one want to do more knowing that someone is on the lookout to read more of their pieces. In World Pulse dreams are visualized and lives changed.
In general World Pulse is a turning point for most people as it gives a glimpse of hope of fighting the demons and getting the most out of life.
I was a victim of depression because life after graduation was far from my expectations and wishes. There was no employment anywhere and those who promised help were nowhere to be found and I drowned in thoughts of what my life would pan out to be. I would cry myself to sleep, and isolate myself because I felt like a failure. I loved writing and I kept looking for platforms that would hold my hand but all came with a price, either a registration fee or to meet certain criteria to join which at the moment I didn’t have and it felt like I had nothing to offer until came across World Pulse and even though years later I still haven’t gotten a job I any longer doubt myself or feel like a failure instead I keep on doing me knowing that my day will come and when it finally comes it will find me better, more informed with so much to offer.
What if more friendly, kind, and safe digital platforms were available for people to express themselves and find their lost charisma, suicides and homicides would be minimal, mental health and depression would be avoided and one wouldn’t have to carry baggage anymore. And to my fellow women, there is no limit to what you can achieve, put in the smart work and things will fall into place, and when they do be kind enough to spread love and kindness for together we can get the changes we are advocating for. Happy International Women’s Day and remember we are all works in progress and each one has something unique to offer, keep up the fighting spirit, and don’t fold for you’re nearer than you think.
