An introduction myself and my journal: The politricks of life

About Me:
My name is Sourma and I live in Evanston (a small suburb near Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago) and my passion is writing. I always knew it was my passion but never pursued it at the same time. I could imagine some might read that in a state of confusion but if you think about it, we never get to our destination the way we might have imagined it, and right now that's what I am trying to do. I work for a nonprofit organization doing grant writing support for healthcare continuing medical education programs for doctors and nurses. Its a great job that allows me to learn, grow and a rewarding job at the end of the day. In the near future, I will pursue my awaited goal of volunteering for the Peace Corps and hope to record my journey through photos, video, and especially journal blogging.

I'm a first generation, Assyrian-American, born in Chicago, Illinois with one brother and one sister and still have both parents. I had a great childhood as a middle-class working family, we struggled just like everyone else but as the youngest I wasn't affected by it as much as others might. I'm very close to my family and extended family. I have a niece and two nephews who I tried to spend as much time with as possible, especially since I don't have my own children yet so I spoil them all the time. In my family I am considered the big mouth with an attitude and as much as I hate when they call me that, its true. I have a lot to say and I say it as loud as I can until someone listens to me.

There's so much more to say but can't stay in this small box.

My Passions:
Politics, Human Rights, Organic Food, Environment and Women's Rights.

My Challenges:
Procrastination

My Vision for the Future:
High speed railway system across the country, vertical farming from big city to rural communities, universal healthcare for all and universal college education for all.

My Areas of Expertise:
Project Management, Writing, I love to try and solve any problems business or personal, creative thinking
