AS THE CURTAINS DRAW

story
As the curtains draw finally on the first stage of VOF 2011, something within tells me that there will be unexpected surprises but one thing stand sure that whatever happens all of us who have actively engaged this process will not be the same again. Interacting with world pulse has been a new and exciting experience for me and I think it is the same for others too.
Sincerely, for the first time I took writing very seriously. As much as I try to put in my best it always seem that I can do more to stand out and claim my space. I have had to scan through most articles from week 1 to week 4 just to be sure am on track and that my article attracts encouraging comments. At times I get encouraging comments but I feel deflated when I see that the number of comments made on my article cannot compete favourably with the number of comments made on some articles.
Some articles have over 50 comments while some has none. Curiosity made me to read the ones with the most number of comments and the ones with few or no comments at all. I just wanted to know what is in the articles that attracts or distract comments.
I discovered that making friends can attract more attention to ones article, your friends are mainly your supporters but at the same time I found out that this can give a false sense of confidence. The fact that an article attracts fewer comments or no comment at all does not make it any less powerful article that can earn one a space in the VOF.
I had by accident discovered a handful of powerful articles with fewer or no comments and I had to put in a very encouraging comment as it touches my mind
Overall, it is a very worthwhile experience and i wish all of us the best. Whatever happens I will always be a voice of our future correspondence from my personal journal on the world pulse. VOF is just a part of our lived experiences on the world pulse, becoming a loud speaker for change is a commitment we have all made by joining the world pulse. Let us keep true to our commitments.
