Asian Women are supporting South African Women from Asian University For Women

Yes on 10th December 2014, the International Human rights Day , today we have organized an event from Amnesty International in Asian University for Women to support needed Pregnant women and new mothers in Mkhondo Municipality in eastern South Africa who are dying needlessly because they are not getting vital health care. As being an international institution we have young students from 17 countries of Asia, today we have showed our support to those needed women so that authority will provide better maternal health care by writing , and signing letters.
Why write for rights?
"Every December, hundreds of thousands of people write letters for people whose basic human rights are being attacked.
In 2013, people took a record-breaking 2.3 million actions, including sending letters, signing petitions, tweets, emails and SMS messages. 13,600 of these came from events organized by Amnesty’s international members. From people just like you!
We need your help this year to change the minds of decision makers and give hope to those who have been wrongfully imprisoned and are suffering from human rights violations."
This experience was new and learning process for me because of being the first time ever an event organizer and i am really grateful to the volunteers without their support it was impossible to make the event successful.
And thank you to Amnesty International that we have could support the women across our borders and this is the power of digital communication or technology.
