Warm greetings!
I hope you are all well as we sail into the end of 2009, and look ahead to the bright possibilities of 2010. There is a lot of activity going on behind-the-scenes here at World Pulse headquarters, planning and preparing for your next adventures in the Correspondents' Network. Thank you for your patience as we organize the details to make it a powerful experience for you all.
In the meantime, there are some great things happening! Malayapinas was featured in an interview with the CBC program "Dispatches" for her reporting on the massacre in the Philippines Click here, and then on Part Two to hear the Interview. I've also been able to record a few stories, and you can hear your fellow Correspondents read them on the Program Page. Several of you have been hired as paid journalists with The Press Institute. Olutosin has published a book of poetry. Busayo is getting ready for her first trip out of Nigeria to attend the Empowerment Institute Training Program in New York. And, all of this is just the beginning! 2010 promises to reveal even more opportunities for each of you to share your knowledge and experiences with the world. I am so thrilled to witness your continued growth as leaders, as journalists, as world changing women.
It has been a great year, and this holiday season, I feel that I have a new group of loved ones to be thankful for. The entire World Pulse team is thinking of you as we try to stay warm and dry here in Portland. You are close to our hearts, inspiring us to keep working everyday for a world that honors and respects women's voices. We've achieved a lot together, and I look forward to aiming even higher for next year.
I'll be in touch in the New Year with the exciting new details!
Wishing you all the best, dear ones.
