Attending the ISACA #SheLeadsTech Workshop 2025

Yesterday, I was invited to attend the SheLeadsTech Workshop 2025; an incredible space for women in tech to learn, connect, and grow, where the theme was Breaking Barriers & Building Influence in Tech . Being there as part of the wider CWE-TECH community made the experience even more meaningful and inspiring for my own journey in leadership and digital innovation.

The workshop ran for a full seven hours, overflowing with insight. I’ll be sharing more reflections over the next few days, but one moment that truly stood out was the powerful keynote by Hilda Moraa, Founder & CEO of Pezesha.

She opened with a profound question:

“How do we build foundations that last?”

Some of my biggest takeaways were:

💡 Breaking barriers isn’t a one-time event, it’s continuous work.

💡 Knowing your WHY grounds you when the journey gets tough.

💡 Impact is the true reward; fulfilment comes from the change you create.

💡 Resilience is the real currency for growth.

💡 Women must support one another authentically and intentionally.

💡 Being underestimated is common, but excellence always speaks louder.

She also shared an insightful framework; the 3 Ps for Breaking Barriers:

1️⃣ Perseverance

2️⃣ Purpose (Know your WHY)

3️⃣ Passing It Along — supporting others as you rise.

I am truly grateful for the invitation, the learning, the conversations, and the incredible women I met yesterday. 💛
