I started building a small community library through Ecoshoppe PH, and I’m now helping Empowering Women PH create more. This sparked a bigger question: what if we had a directory for all community libraries in the Philippines?
That question became Bayanihan Books—a prototype app that maps existing community libraries across the country. Many of these libraries already exist, lovingly built by volunteers, local leaders, and small organizations, yet they often remain invisible to the very people who need them most.
Bayanihan Books bridges that gap by making libraries easier to find and support, while also spotlighting the grassroots changemakers who sustain them. By connecting learners of all ages to safe, inclusive spaces for knowledge, we amplify access to education, uplift community efforts, and plant seeds for stronger, more resilient communities.
