Be Kind: Healing in an Unusual Place

When I was 13 years old, I was bitten by a dog, was rushed to the hospital and thank God, I was treated quickly and the next day I became conscious again.

I was traumatized and became afraid of any and all animals especially dogs.

I had phobia for them, Ghost bumps everytime I see a dog(s).

Nobody knew what was going on but I knew that this happened due to the dog bite incident.

This year, I packed into a new compound and the first animal I saw was a dog who just gave birth to 5 puppies, he welcomed me by backing nonstop and I was so scared so the owner called him and he went .

Whenever am leaving the compound my heart will skip if it will bark or come close to me. This phobia was so much that sometimes I think an animal is beside me and get scared.

One day, I cooked rice and decided to food the puppies and their mother since I noticed they were starving and malnourished.

The puppies where excited, ate the food and the mother watched from afar. I decided to give her her own portion and she ate.

I kept on with this daily while the owner sold the puppies till he was left with one and the mother.

Today, that dog and his child sleeps at my door step, they are the first to welcome me when ever I go out, excort me when ever am going out.

The phobia I had for pets have disappeared and now they are like my besties in the compound. We play and I feed them daily.

So many times, the things we fear must might just need a little love from us ..

Instead of fear love.

Instead of hate love

Instead of revenge love.

Let love lead

The world is full of hate, war, fear etc.

You never know where you healing will come from.

Be Kind to every kind, not just Mankind.
