Be ready for opportunities as a teen mother or as a singles parent. Do not be surprised

In 2009 I gave birth to a son as a teenager who did not know her left from right☹️

I lived with my granddaughter in the village while taking care of my son and two younger siblings 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

While in the village all sorts of men came to seek my hand in marriage. Some were notorious drunks, others older than my grandmother, some were just what we call today "junkies". People came to marry me and send me to their brothers who had not been seen in the village for decades... In fact they just wanted me to leave and be married off.

Due to the stress, agony and suffering as a single teenage mother, I was ready to just marry whoever was available and have a helping hand by me.

My grandma and my younger brother stood by me all that while and rejected all those who came by despite my consent to the marriage.

Or day my younger bro said... "sis you can be Better just be patient and work hard and I will assist"

His words pierced me and I decided to return to school and register for my ordinary level in September 2015 and surprisingly I made it. That success was a booster to me and I furthered to Advance level 2016, Ens and later enrolled at the faculty of Law and political science which earned me a Bachelor's degree in 2020 and eventually a Master 2022.

I went into practice and fortunately the Bar exams were launched and in 2024 I was admitted into the Cameroon Bar association as an AIT. Despite the journey ahead I feel fulfilled.

Now this message is directed to you young Lady, single Mom, teen Mom, hustler, Brothers, parents... The 2025/2026 academic year is fast approaching what are your plans.... ?

My sister Will you stay on that same spot lamenting? Or you will make moves... Will you take the challenge?

Family....Will you not encourage your sister, daughter, cousin, neighbor and friend to make the most of this period? Should her life end at this point because she is a mother?

One thing I have learned so far is to be ready for opportunities at all times. Don't be surprised with such opportunities and remain in regret... We still have time to take up the challenge and trust me u will make it....

In my next episode I will share my experience on my boost and challenges as a teen mom and student.
