Being rewarded VS being acknowledged.

I believe being rewarded for all the good you do in your life plays a huge role in sustaining humanity, empathy, passion, love, forgiveness and charity amongst other things. Yes we as human beings believe in encouragement, being encouraged to continue doing good in life. As someone who is a giver and never a taker encouragement to me is less effective than being rewarded, because I never ask for anything in return when I do good for other people. So being rewarded fills my cup, being rewarded fuels my passion, being rewarded softens my heart because I feel seen and heard.

Yes words of affirmation and encouragement are important too, but rewards yield sustainable results. Good behaving dogs get treats, horses get treat after a good training session, athletes get rewarded after a game, winners get rewarded. I woke up the other night and saw I got the story telling badge and that made my night, because I got rewarded for doing something good.
