As the holy month of Ramadan unfolds, Sombhabona has taken a heartfelt initiative to ensure that no underprivileged family goes without a warm iftar meal. By the fourth day of Ramadan, we have distributed 1,500 food boxes—each nourishing an entire family—reaching approximately 6,000 people in need.
But our mission goes beyond feeding the hungry. We are working to break the invisible social barriers that divide us, fostering a society where every child—regardless of their background—feels seen, valued, and inspired. To amplify this message, we have engaged renowned personalities to join our iftar programs, bridging the gap between privilege and struggle.
On the first day of Ramadan, Asif Mahmud, Youth and Sports Adviser to the Bangladesh Government, shared a meal with underprivileged children, encouraging others to step forward in solidarity. On the fourth day, four trailblazing cricketers from the Bangladesh Women's Cricket Team—Arifa Jahan, Sobhana Mostari, Marufa Akter, and Rabeya Khan—joined our iftar gathering, bringing hope and inspiration to the children. Their presence was more than symbolic; it was a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of dreams.
Through this initiative, we are not just feeding stomachs—we are nourishing aspirations. We want every child to see that their circumstances do not define their future, that success is within reach, and that they too can rise beyond their struggles.
Ramadan is a time of reflection, unity, and giving. At Sombhabona, we believe that true change begins when we stand together—not as separate social classes, but as one compassionate community. We hope our efforts inspire others to contribute, break barriers, and create a society where no child is left behind.
