Buddy Program For High School Girls By first generation University Girls: SA



Purpose : Collaboration of Future Ready Foundation SA NPC and Life Aid for Community Development Initiative ..

Buddy Program to reach 1000 girls


Highlights:Fostering leadership, self-esteem, and resilience while combating gender-based violence (GBV), stigmatization, and bullying through mentorship and peer support.


Program Structure


1. Recruitment & Pairing

Target Audience: High school and college girls (ages


Pairing Approach:


University students (mentors) paired with high school students (mentees)


Matching based on shared interests, career aspirations, and personal goals


2. Training & Orientation: Problem solving

For Mentors:



Leadership & mentorship skills


GBV awareness & intervention strategies


Confidence-building techniques


Anti-bullying strategies


For Mentees:

Assertiveness & self-defense

Funding : Need based ,volunteer output ,to be divided equally between WP representatives for holding ,for them to collaborate and share the funds amongst the girls .
