Building was taken as being" Hopeless and Depressed"

It was a decade ago, our church decided to build a new and huge chapel in Addis Ababa. We were in a youth choir by then. my family didn't know that my sisters and me were going to work as builders. the church had no enough fund to pay for builders, engineers, builders, and all laborers were the church members including small kids and elderly people. We used to dress up and use any perfume or lotions we had, pretending we go to some resort with friends 55 km away from the city. We used to carry the laborer cloths, aprons or overalls in our back packs.

when we reach at the church, many people who are from high class families parked their cars, change in to their working clothes and work as builders. it was such a great joy for me , my friends, my sisters and all the other members. We used to build singing any song to glorify God. We pay our transportation fee, and we did everything out of the love of God. That was my youth hood, devoted to the only one God. Serving Him was the most satisfying thing. Our families go to different church, that's why we keep it secret from them. There was also a time, a year or more, we were forbidden to go to that church.

One day, I went to visit a lady next door. Her office mate's house was next to the church we build. That lady told my neighbor some unusual people are building a church next to her house.

"Lily, are you building a church?" asked the lady.

"Yes we're." I said.

"Are you building it day and night?"

"Yes. but my sisters and I are going only during the day. The university students, people who work in the office work during the evening. We want to finish it as soon as we can."

"Are you sure women in business and some officially known people are building it?"

"Yes, they do. Pilots, big business owners are participating in building it."

"But my work mate told me, those pentecostal women are greatly depressed and became very hopeless. Nobody wants to marry them, because they only blabs scriptures when they find new friends. Who else wants to be preached. They think they are holy, they avoid drinkers, smokers...etc. They'll remain single forever. Now, just to forget their problems all the women became builders. I'm telling you the girls in that church are hopeless and depressed. Imagine how beautiful they are and they lost a chance of getting married. they're so stupid."

Said the lady from next door.

The builders were men and women, boys and girls, young and old. Why that women focused to insult us? That's still my question. it's not only the men who is participating in humiliating us. There are also some women who doesn't know that women are able. There are women who disrespect their own sisters and themselves as well.

Every minute, I'm hearing to some insults while i go to work, when I'm sitting in the house or in the office.

Poor women, Nobody knows how A WOMAN IS STRONGER THAN HER ACCUSERS ANS INSULTER.
