This number is unacceptably high. The most common causes of maternal injury and death are often preventable with timely and skilled care.

While advancements in technology have undoubtedly improved maternal care, we still face challenges in ensuring every woman has access to quality healthcare.

As individuals, there are steps we can take to contribute to reducing maternal deaths. Maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet is crucial for good maternal health, educating ourselves and others about maternal health, advocating for accessible and equitable healthcare services, supporting organizations working in this field, and promoting gender equality are all crucial actions we can take.

No woman should ever have to face the risk of death while bringing life into this world.

Let's continue to work together to ensure that every mother receives the respect, care, and support she deserves throughout her maternal journey.
