CHRISTMAS WITH NO SHOES

Growing up was never easy.

I ever when I was 10 and it was a Christmas and all our neighbours were preparing, buying clothes and shoes for their kids , but since my parents did not have enough money they managed to buy us dresses but money for shoes was lacking.

My best friend at school was our neighbour and had just received a box of shoes from her dad who decided on America. I swallowed my pride and went and begged a pair of shoes from my friend Joyce which she gave. We all dressed up and went to church but you can't imagine what happened next. Immediately after communion she beckoned me outside and asked me to give her shoes because to her  Iwasn't walking well with the shoes and may damage it , I took courage and removed the shoes and gave them to her and braved the Stony road back home barefooted. Pls don't pity me because that embarrassment shaped me into a strong woman and I vowed to give a pair of shoes to a random kid in my neighbourhood for christmass. Tomorrow I will be buying a pair and will come back to show you my sister's

MERRY CHRISTMASS IN ADVANCE
