Cognitive dissonance is a state of internal self-communication. However, in recent years, I have been experiencing this issue, and some of my friends have been facing it as well. When I spoke to my psychologist about it, they suggested it might be a personality disorder. But today, I learned that it’s actually a communication state within oneself.
It’s clear that we are still far from truly understanding this concept. For example, if someone believes in being honest but lies to avoid conflict, they might feel uneasy. This tension is cognitive dissonance, a natural part of self-reflection, rather than a disorder. It shows how much more there is to learn about our minds.
