As we are in November , I see the deep significance of how it will affect Every single woman. Fascism won, domineering of women, and us continuing as second-rate citizens won. The persecution on rights of women bodies, won .
. Businesses, bunch of people controlling every single nook and corner won ...It is nearing my official birth month and I was looking forward to a new dawn somehow. Though as a Techie,I know this was predictable ..Torrents of unabashed Trump support, parroting of same manipulated talks from all races and cultures of citizens.
Staying in a community in South Africa, we are a melting pot of different cultures. We have huge differences but take care of each other. We have our own squabbles, complaints and differences on how we celebrate festivals even, but we stand for each other. I work in townships with high level of foreigners, refugees, asylum seekers.
Xenonophobes are caught and punished. None of the parties with an anti immigration stance won our 2024 elections.
The right to gender equality is enshrined in our laws. We will not allow any politician to turn this right and aspiration into a punching bag.
Dignity, that is thrown so often by Trumpety , that i find it blistering to even mention, is defined, independent and nonpartisan in our constitution.. Our value of Rand has fallen, we are too small and insignificant to be directly affected by the Vuvuzela being played out in the White House. But I can assure you Our country will protect itself; the war cry is on .
I am proud of my adopted country, and though flawed there is a system of social solidarity. I am grateful for this community, and I know and believe and hope on how much I have freedom to build and grow here. I am grateful that I belong to Africa and not some civilized world or lack thereof. I am proud of my African Indian heritage today of growing together.
I have not yet stepped into that country, and I challenge myself to never in my lifetime.
I ca think of nothing worse than being a woman in USA now, lonely, afraid, worried... Hail patriotism of America, to us people and their future comes first.
Ngeke sivumele izwe lethu ukuthi lithinteke.Inkululeko yeza kakhulu ukuthi singayiyeka.Thina besifazane simi ebunyeni ..This is for You, women of South Africa
