Covid -19: A Lockdown of Renewal

The corona virus pandemic popularly called Covid-19 ,has caused the government in my country Nigeria to enforce a lockdown especially in Lagos where I reside.

The rate of people testing positive to this virus keep increasing by the day,though the number of people healed of the virus ,also didn't drop either. The people in my country as our usual practise took advantage to increase prices of goods and services.The lockdown to some is a blessing in disguise, not been remorseful of the fact that people are dying daily.

The police is not let behind ,extorting money from people who try to get a means of lively hood even in the midst of lockdown.

The children are out of school as well ,even before total lockdown because it was said children and the elderly are most vulnerable to this deadly virus.

Thanks to the government they were able to provide an audio and visual classes for these kids ,via radio stations ,Televisions stations and even online platfoams.

For me, as a restless human that I am ,I am able to use the opportunity to learn new skills ,broaden my horizon of the digital world, exploring means to an alternative source of income, not knowing what the aftermath of the impact of Covid -19 will be when its all over.

I was seriously preparing my self for the unknown so as not be cut in the web of unemployment. I am training in digital marketing and planning on starting a business in that field.

I did a WhatsApp training in 3D animation ,in which I was able to come up with a video of the preventive measures on Covid -19. Which I uploaded to my YouTube channel to contribute my own quota to stop the spread of the Covid -19.

I have also used the opportunity of the lockdown to restructure my blog to reflect my passion for digital advocacy ,creating awareness, sharing resources that lift up and develop especially women and girls. I will also be  using the platform to feature exceptional women doing incredible feat and impacting their world positively, women like Jensen of the world pulse ,and so many other women from this platfoam

So,the message is that no matter what we are facing at this period of the deadly pandemic ,we should be positive ,in action and thought.

We should pray for the people affected, and share a positive news and ways to prevent the transmission of the virus.
