COVID - 19 WORLD - Braver Than You Believe, Smarter Than You Think

Everyone is a hero in this greatest story, the intelligence, bravery and companionship contributing to protect the grace of the nation. The experts are digging deep to find the end of this horrific virus and save the precious lives. It is the first time reminding us that we all are equal regardless of the country we belong, the culture we follow or the race we all are intact with. When the things spread to a global alarm, it is nothing but the equal hand to hand hardship of each and every individual.

Well, following the health and vulnerable human lives to this virus. The other most importantly insight we came across during this emergency lock down days  are the increasing rate of domestic violence and child abusing cases. Keeping in account to the domestic assault, the rarely talked and discussed issue in which everyone is fighting each day irrespective of before and after this pandemic hit us so hard. The mental illness and anxiety depressant panic attacks.

Why I wanted to talk about this ? Because it is really matter of concern, get it corrected at earlier than to get late forever. It is regarding the recent incident I faced. I have my younger brother, he is 4 - 5  years younger to me. He is studying in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I was supposed to fly this May to him but because of COVID - 19 everything is at a temporary hold. He is studying in Montreal and working temporarily in a restaurant. As the colleges are shut down, we told him as a prevention measure, hold your workplace too. Stop going to work for the time being, until and unless the scenario doesn't stabilizes. He was staying at home with two more flatmates. One fine day, we both had a work and he told me about an incident of fainting. Though, in his whole life I never ever heard him saying that he has fainting issue. It happened like twice or thrice, we just had a thought of, maybe it is because of improper diet and lifestyle. I told him to get some fruits, juice and eatery products from the super store. Sleeping inefficiently due the noise of his flatmates playing games overnight, he usually used to get annoyed by them and those boys never stopped. This body needed rest, He used to sleep in the morning when they slept. He was sleep deprived, Not sleeping efficiently, and he complaint about his half headaches. He used to scare in pain every morning when he woke up due to improper rest. Later, The made some issue in his college and due to that he was stressed out. I am in India, I couldn't reach my brother because of the global health alert and the problem once neglected or was not aware of started to expand. A 20 Years old boy, who is still so tender in age suffering from all this issue, at such earlier ages of his life. One day, I texted him Good Morning Baby Boy How are you feeling ?, He replied, " Suicidal".He was 75 kg, fit and fine gym guy who presently weighs 43 kg, lost almost 10 - 12 kg in a month. This is to convey us all, if we are vulnerable in the outside world, we are vulnerable at home too, among these four walls. The four walls and a roof that we call it as "Our Home".

He had online consultation with a physician, the doctor told him to come to his clinic and he will examine the problem. Going through the examine, the physician recommended seeing his eyes and the condition that he doesn't need a doctor but a Psychiatrist. Later, he had consultation with the psychiatrist and during the session, he was diagnosed with Anxiety- Depressive Syndrome. I do not sleep whole night, just to sit and hear him.

Mental health has no destination, you keep driving yourself and you have no idea where you are going. It is really important to De- Stigmatize mental illness in any form. There's a lot of people that are carrying guilt's, regrets and baggage of burden that doesn't matter. Everybody is going through something, everybody has had something that they've had to overcome. This needs more sunlight and an unashamed conversation. This condition isn't easy, and it's harden when we assume that " they could recover themselves" by their own.  Mental illness doesn't mean being "Mad". Our society tends to shame and ignore such people, let's be the change and get over the stigma.
