day of the girl

He was upset that he couldn't get money for selling her anymore!

Last week, one of the girls, Parisa, suddenly disappeared after the workshop. She was on her own for a long time and even that day she didn't feel like attending the meeting, she went home without taking the evaluation form, or so we thought. .

It was evening and we found out that he did not go home and my colleagues believed that he had run away. A few hours later, we found out that Hamedan had gone to his fiancee, while he was always in a bad mood because his marriage was near.

Why did he go to Hamedan?

Because he had a worse place and an unbearable atmosphere at home. He had lived for years in the house of an addicted father who forced him to move drugs, he had been subjected to domestic violence many times and he was thinking of suicide.

When his father called to tell him that he had been found, his words were: "I can't take any more money from him now."

Parisa is one of the thousands of girls who live in such difficult conditions in the marginal areas of Iran. Girls who are not only deprived of their human rights, but even in the eyes of the family, they become a tool for profit.

Yesterday, October 11, was the International Day of the Girl;

Dedicating this day to girls under 18 years of age is to draw attention to the discrimination and challenges they face. To remind the rights of Parisa and girls like her.

On this day, instead of congratulating girls, we should give them self-confidence, an unlimited ceiling to wish for, and the courage to change. These girls should know that they can, they are also capable and have the ability to change the game.
