Dear Young Girl, I See You
I know what it feels like to be shy.
To feel like your voice is too small, or your thoughts don’t matter.
To be surrounded by noise but feel completely alone.
I’ve been there.
There was a time I couldn’t speak up. I was afraid to make friends, afraid to be seen, afraid I wasn’t enough. I grew up unsure of myself, carrying fears I didn’t understand. I was told to stay quiet, stay good, stay out of trouble. But no one told me how to be bold, how to dream, how to believe in the power I carried within me.
But here’s the truth I’ve come to learn:
You are not too much. You are not too quiet. You are not too weak.
You are a girl becoming a woman of strength. You are fire wrapped in kindness. You are allowed to grow at your own pace, and your voice is needed in this world.
Today, I stand confidently in rooms I once felt too small for.
I speak to thousands. I lead programs that change lives. I help girls like you find their voice before the world tells them to stay silent.
If you are reading this and wondering if you’ll ever be bold, brave, or enough—
You already are.
Don’t let fear write your story.
Don’t let anyone shame your dreams or silence your light.
You were born to lead. To rise. To shine.
I believe in you. And one day, you will believe in you too.
With all my heart,
