Do not give out your kids to people during this era of back to school to be caregivers

This is back to school season and so many persons are out looking for children to stay with in the name of wanting to help these children. Dear parents some of us have been there and we know how it hurts to go through what we went through and listen:

Many parents entrust their children to people ,pastors, civil servant, business men believing they will be cared for, guided spiritually, and raised with strong values. But sadly, some children end up facing abuse instead of protection. But before you send out that child:

1. Remember: Your child’s safety comes first. No title, be it “Man of God” or not, should make you neglect your parental responsibility.

2. Don’t hand over total control. These pipo can guide your child which most at times they don't, but they should not replace you as the primary protector and caregiver of your child. Wuna better chop cassava together.

3. Keep close contact. Regularly visit, call, and check in with your child privately to hear their truth or side of the story. Don't just believe all the trash they tell u concerning your child's behavior.

4. Watch out for warning signs such as Sudden fear, withdrawal, strange stories, or physical changes which may mean something is wrong somewhere. I am a victim of that till date and still struggling to came out of it 13 years after😔

5. Teach your child to speak up. Encourage them to tell you if they are ever uncomfortable or mistreated by anyone, no matter the person’s position and stand up for them.

6. Investigate people's background checks on anyone you wish to entrust your child with if you must even do... check their character, lifestyle, and how they treat others 🤲 be very meticulous and intentional about that for these people pretend a lot and hide their true nature.

7. Never let faith blind you for Spiritual leaders can guide your child, but they are still human and can make mistakes or even abuse trust.

8. If abuse is suspected, act immediately. Protect your child first, report the matter, and seek justice. Silence only empowers the abuser.

parents please 🥺 please 🥺 and please 🥺 You are your child’s first guardian, protector, and safe place. Do not hand over that sacred role completely to anyone not even a pastor.
