Education a key to economic success for women

If only brilliant Nasirat had full access to education, I know she would have created a change and be a role model to many young female. Economic freedom provides every woman an undeniable right and respect.
Education which is the major tool to economic freedom. Its denial cut short Nasirat's dreams.
Nasirat, a lady I met Nasirat at the salon, one saturday, she got all attention with her personal story.
She began the story condemning the unjust culture and belief in the yorubaland. With sorrowful face, she described her dream of working in the banking sector.
According to her,one of the numerous yoruba belief which assert importance to the life of the first child and believes his/her life make or mar the younger ones's future.
From a family of five girls,the first girl got pregnant while in sss one and ended up hawking foot wears in the market. The second born chose no better path as she also got pregnant while in secondary school.
The father got angry and refused to sponsor others.
With the help of her mother, Nasirat and her immediate elder sister were asked to continue school but the family situation got worst when the fourth born failed her WAEC. The father,then took a stand of not sponsoring her beyond secondary school.
Although,she had a burning passion for education but she was an average student which also serve as contributing factor to her father's decision.
After secondary school, Nasirat became an apprentice in a hair saloon where she met her husband and got married.
The only way to put an end to other Nasirat is provision of free education by the government of this coutry from elementary to university.
