Empowered by Knowledge: My Journey into Financial Literacy

Financial literacy

Before I began the Financial Literacy lessons, terms like "budgeting," "investing," and "credit scores" seemed distant and intimidating. I knew they were important, but they always felt out of reach—concepts for someone else, not for someone like me. But then came this opportunity—a series of lessons that broke down these big words into simple, life-changing tools.

Thanks to Kirthi, who presented the sessions with such clarity and heart, I finally began to understand what financial independence truly means. Her presentation wasn’t just informative; it was empowering. She made financial literacy feel personal, especially for women like me, who are often left out of these conversations.

From Lesson 1, I realized that financial literacy is a right, not a privilege. As the lessons progressed—covering budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding loans—I saw how each step could build a stronger, more secure future for myself and those I support.

By the time I completed the assignment, it was no longer just an exercise—it became a commitment to myself. I created my own budget, set savings goals, and started learning how to make my money work for me. I feel more confident, more capable, and more in control.

Thank you, Kirthi, for being a guiding light in this journey. And thank you to World Pulse for creating a platform where women can learn, grow, and lift each other up through shared knowledge.
