Hello World Pulse community!
I’m Md. Areful Islam, co-founder of Sombhabona—a social development initiative dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities in Bangladesh. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to create hope (Sombhabona means "possibility") for those who need it most through education, skill development, and access to resources.
My journey into this meaningful work began alongside an incredible woman, Mosfeka Zannat Nishat, a visionary co-founder of Sombhabona. Her passion for empowering marginalized voices inspired me deeply and introduced me to this vibrant global sisterhood here on World Pulse.
Beyond my role in Sombhabona, I work in the tech field in Bangladesh. Over the years, I’ve developed expertise in infrastructure engineering and DevOps, with a strong belief that technology should serve humanity. At Sombhabona, we are integrating tech education and digital tools to help people in underserved communities gain the skills needed for better livelihoods.
We believe that access to technology can transform lives—especially for young people and women in rural areas. Whether it’s teaching basic computer skills, offering job-oriented IT training, or connecting them to online opportunities, our goal is to bridge the digital divide.
Joining World Pulse feels like stepping into a powerful circle of changemakers. I’m here to share, learn, and grow—together.
Let’s keep creating possibilities. 🌍💡
