Empowering Tech-Smart Girls for Limitless Futures and Community Impact

Tech Smart girls are not just leaders of tomorrow; they are the change makers of today!

The International Youth Day this year emphasizes the vital role of youth actions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and beyond. Young people are not just beneficiaries of global initiatives — they are essential partners in driving positive change worldwide.

At Women Inspiration Development Center (WIDC), we strongly believe that when young people are equipped with personal agency and technology, they can become powerful agents of change, innovation, and leadership. With these tools, they are better positioned to champion the SDGs at the local level and make a meaningful impact globally.

To mark this year’s International Youth Day, WIDC hosted an educative and enlightening webinar designed to inspire and empower Nigerian youth.

Highlights of the Webinar:

 Enlightenment Session on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

 Confident Girls Ambassadors’ Presentations on SDGs

 Personal Agency Empowerment Talk

 Interactive Discussion on Technology Skills

 Fun and Engaging Games

A key feature of the event was the Confident Girls Ambassadors’ Presentation, where participants shared the SDGs that resonate most with them and outlined their personal action plans for implementing projects aligned with these goals.

Through this approach, she aims to inspire women to create meaningful and sustainable livelihoods.

Oyegunle Precious – SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being

Precious in Plateau state presently is committed to promoting health awareness and well-being within her community. Her focus is on educating people about safety and preventive health measures, as well as encouraging HIV/AIDS testing and awareness.
