This impactful program was more than just a training—it’s a springboard for economic independence, personal development, and community resilience. Designed to provide both practical skills and entrepreneurial knowledge, the initiative is tailored to enable young people to start their own micro-businesses in the hygiene product sector—an industry vital to public health and sustainable development.
Participants were equipped with the technical know-how to produce disinfectants, while also being guided on basic safety procedures, cost-effective production techniques, and market strategies. The interactive session ignited creativity, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose among youth who are often excluded from economic opportunities.
One of the participants Mary said "At least with the knowledge I have gathered here today,I can tell my peers about hygiene and and teach them all they need to know about sanitation."
This initiative is part of Women Aid Liberia’s larger vision to strengthen youth leadership, promote social inclusion, and build local economies from the ground up.In a time where hygiene and entrepreneurship are more essential than ever, WAL’s bold move in Grand Bassa Liberia is a shining example of grassroots empowerment that works.
