Empowering Women: Building Peace and Leadership to End Violence Against Women

I am deeply committed to uplifting and empowering women, particularly at the grassroots level, by providing awareness and fostering leadership skills to combat violence against women. This mission resonates deeply with my passion for creating a safer, more equitable society where women can live free from fear and realize their full potential as leaders and change-makers.

With the global spotlight on the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, I am launching a focused initiative that will bring change to 16 communities. This effort is not just symbolic but deeply rooted in my vision of raising awareness, driving actionable change, and building resilience within grassroots communities.

Through this initiative, I will work with local women leaders, activists, and community members to:

• Educate and sensitize communities about the impact of violence against women on families and societies.
• Empower women with the knowledge and tools to lead peacebuilding efforts and advocate for their rights.
• Create safe spaces for open dialogue and shared learning, fostering solidarity among women and allies.
• Train grassroots leaders in leadership and conflict resolution skills, enabling them to champion sustainable solutions.

Each of the 16 days will focus on one community, where targeted workshops, training sessions, and interactive dialogues will equip participants with actionable strategies to challenge violence and promote peace. These sessions will highlight the importance of gender equity, address the structural barriers to women's safety, and celebrate the resilience and leadership of women at the grassroots level.
