Encouragement: The lamp of hope

While i was scrolling through Facebook i bumped into a horrible post of a lady who married a devil in disguise of a husband, according to the lady's post it has always been she catering and sponsoring herself, the husband, and the kids, financially, emotionally and otherwise.

The said husband who has never in any way contributed positively in her life, suddenly wakes up one morning and made away with most of the valuables in the house not minding how the kids will fare.

After reading that post all i saw was a lady who has been through alot, a lady who is living upto what the society would say if she leaves her marriage,a lady who has shown up against all odds, a lady who needs encouragement, a lady who needs to be cheered up for all she has been through, but unfortunately that didn't get to happen.

Out of curiosity, i went to the comment section to see people's reactions and what i saw was discouraging .

Some of the neitizen said the post was just a content that never happened which was meant to drag traffick to her page, this brings back memory of the post i made on "international women's day commemoration".

The lady's post that was meant to gather people to speak in her favour, to seek collective action, has turned to be a distraction. The hurtful and demeaning comments will not in any way encourage the poster rather it will make them hide in their shell because of the fear of being judged and cajoled.

Whether the incident happened or not the Truth is that it will serve as an inspiration and an encouragement to some women who has kept their predicament to theirselves to speak up. But they won't be encouraged if the  scary comments keeps coming.

What am i saying in essence?

The social media platform is too wide to accommodate everyone, utilizing this opportunity for a good cause will go a long way.

Speaking up i would say is a natural therapy for our mental health, in otherwords speaking out to get bashed with negative energy will worsen your mental health.

This would have been a situation for anyone as this kind of cases are inevitable, then how would they have felt if the post they had made seeking for a call to action turned around to be a caricature.

The moment these media platforms upgrades from this absurd mentality the better for everyone, people are going through alot and all they need is just a word of kindness from neitizens if they eventually speak up.
