Feed The Child: Fighting the scourge malnutrition and hunger in children.

Malnutrition perpetuates poverty and blunts the intellect and saps the productivity of everyone it touches.

An estimated 5million of African children under age 5 die, 40 percent of deaths worldwide and malnutrition is a major contributor to half of those deaths. Sub-saharan children under 5 die not only at 22 times the rate of children in wealthy nations but also at twice the rate for the entire developing world.

One of the millennium development goal is to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger by 2015, which would mean halving the proportion of children who are underweight for their age.

This project is meant to enhance the lives of children and reduce the severe cases of malnutrition in children which is devastating and a major cause of children deaths worldwide.
