Feeding Hope This Ramadan: Sombhabona Reaches Nearly 28,000 People with Food Support

It may be a late update, but the blessings continue to echo. Alhamdulillah, this past Ramadan, Sombhabona extended its arms wider than ever before to support families in need across Bangladesh with food and compassion.

From 1st Ramadan to 27th Ramadan, Sombhabona successfully distributed:

Daily Iftar for 200 families, reaching over 1,000 individuals,

Cooked food for 27,000 people, ensuring they could break their fast with dignity,

Food packages for 750 people to help them sustain their households during the holy month.

In total, 27,750 people received food support through this initiative.

Why This Matters

Ramadan is a time for reflection, generosity, and community. For many underprivileged families, however, it can also bring anxiety about how to feed their loved ones. At Sombhabona, we believe no one should go hungry while the world celebrates compassion.

Through the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our supporters, we made sure thousands of people experienced the joy of a fulfilling iftar and the comfort of knowing someone cares.

Our Mission

To stand beside the most vulnerable, not just during crises or celebrations, but as a constant source of strength, nourishment, and hope.

Our Vision

A world where communities uplift one another during times of need—where empathy and action go hand in hand, and where no child, woman, or elderly person is left hungry during the holiest month of the year.

This Ramadan, Sombhabona didn’t just distribute food—we shared love, dignity, and the belief that together, we can nourish both body and soul.
